Trotec BP17 Infrared Laser Thermometer
The BP17 is Trotec's entry level handheld infrared non-contact laser thermometer with a measuring range of -50 deg C to +380 deg C.
The BP17 from Trotec features a standard optical resolution specification of 12:1, with a smallest spot measuring size of 12.7mm @ 127mm.
You can define a reference temperature with the BP17, and possible deviations to the reference measurement can be indicated by means of both visual and acoustical alarm signals. When setting the tolerance range, you can choose between 1 °C, 3 °C and 5 °C. and a single laser pointer. For low light conditions, the BP17 features backlit display.
Unlike the BP21, there is no adjustable emissivity on the BP17. It is preset to 0.95.
The BP17 is suitable for measuring targets that are medium to large in size. If you are measuring smaller targets, for example, electrical cables and wires, or extreme temperatures, see the higher specification models from Trotec and Fluke.
