Combine your Robotic surveying with GNSS surveying, by using the FOCUS Data Collector. With its large 5” multi-touch screen, you can easily navigate all of the Spectra Geospatial Origin software functions, including the interactive map view. With no additional batteries to charge, the FOCUS Data Collector is compact and extremely portable. It‘s also easy to transfer data using a USB stick, WiFi and Connect cloud, or using the docking station.

There are four ways to use the FOCUS data collector.

1) Clip onto any FOCUS 50 total station so you can work hands-free behind the instrument

2) Control a FOCUS 50 Long Range Robotic total station remotely using the robotic holder and long range radio

3) Perform a GNSS survey using a receiver, a robotic holder and Bluetooth®

4) Integrated survey using both the FOCUS 50 total station and a GNSS receiver simultaneously. Easily switch between the two methods when working in variable environments, or for simplified resections

When the data collector is attached to a Spectra Geospatial FOCUS 50 total station, they communicate via the connectors on the backside of the data collector. In this case Bluetooth® wireless communication between the data collector and the total station is not needed. Power to the data collector is supplied from the total station.

An optional Robotic Holder is available. When attached the FOCUS Data Collecotr communicates to the Robotic via the 2.4 GHz radio in the Robotic Holder.

Bluetooth wireless communication can be used to connect to a matching GNSS receiver, with power to the data collector supplied from the Robotic Holder.
