The RD8200G is the pinnacle of Radiodetections locator range.

It is a GPS enabled logging locator, which automatically stores all locate parameters providing a comprehensive picture of field operations. Location experts and survey engineers can analyze the data to assess usage patterns and tie in below ground assets wit h above ground data. Usage data can be exported in multiple file formats – for example KML for Google Maps to confirm where and when work was performed.

There are extensive active and passive frequencies built into the RD8200G, to match your locating needs. Need to track and locate an odd frequency? No problem. Up to 5 additional frequencies can be programmed into your locator to match it to the signals found on your target networks.

Using your cable locator incorrectly? The unique new Swing Warning System, drives correct usage. Locators must be kept perpendicular to the ground for best accuracy. The RD8200G features a built-in gyroscopic measurement system which alerts the user of excessive swing, driving correct usage.

In complex power environments, were multiple signals from high voltage equipment and cables create interference, Radiodetection’s Dynamic Overload Protection reduces the effect of the interference and Power Filters can be used to trace a single target line amongst multiple cables.

For reliable depth and current measurements, Radiodetection's TruDepth™ only indicates the depth when the RD8200 is correctly oriented above the target and with the new Vibration feedback, the locator handle vibrates when alerts activate, helping reduce the chance of missed warnings.

The higher frequencies of the RD8200G can be used to locate high impedance lines and sonde frequencies for duct and conduit tracing. Higher frequencies can also be used to trace sheathed domestic cables without grounding connections.

Cable sheath faults can be located to within 4” (100mm) using the 8kHz Fault Find mode in combination with the optional Radiodetection A-Frame.

RDMap™+

RDMap™+ is an easy utility mapping program enabling the user to add data to the survey measurements using the integrated GPS, and create in real time*, detailed maps of buried utilities.

Utilities are imported to Google Maps using markers and utility tracks identified using standard colouring. Simple to use measurement tools allow the operator to correct any GPS inaccuracy immediately.

*For situations where very high accuracy position measurements are needed RDMap™+ can be set to utilise a compatible Bluetooth GPS/GNSS receiver, for decimeter accuracy of marking out.
