The RD7200 is no ordinary cable locator.

It features all of Radiodetection's decades of experience in underground locating and electromagnetic technology, incorporated into a new 2021 upto date design.

Based on the popular RD7100 range, the RD7200 takes all the existing 4 models and incorporates everything into one fully featured model.
With multiple antennaes, including the all important Peak+, users can locate a variety of sonde frequencies for CCTV pipe inspection cameras, mark buried power, telecom utilities quickly, accurately and safely and also track CPS (Cathodic Protection System).

Using your cable locator incorrectly?
The unique new Swing Warning System, drives correct usage. Locators must be kept perpendicular to the ground for best accuracy. The RD7200 features a built-in gyroscopic measurement system which alerts the user of excessive swing, driving correct usage.

In complex power environments, were multiple signals from high voltage equipment and cables create interference, Radiodetection’s Dynamic Overload Protection reduces the effect of the interference and Power Filters can be used to trace a single target line amongst multiple cables.

For reliable depth and current measurements, Radiodetection's TruDepth™ only indicates the depth when the RD7200 is correctly oriented above the target and with the new Vibration feedback, the locator handle vibrates when alerts activate, helping reduce the chance of missed warnings.

The higher frequencies of the RD7200 can be used to locate high impedance lines and sonde frequencies for duct and conduit tracing. Higher frequencies can also be used to trace sheathed domestic cables without grounding connections.

Cable sheath faults can be located to within 4” (100mm) using the 8kHz Fault Find mode in combination with the optional Radiodetection A-Frame.
